MINISTRIES

One of the best ways to ‘Get Connected’ at Potter's House Norfolk is to jump in and get involved. Potter's House Norfolk exists as a local congregation to witness to the world the love of God as revealed in His Son Jesus Christ, our crucified, risen, exalted, and soon-returning Savior and King. We seek to teach the Word of God and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.

 

Our goal is the shaping and equipping of our church family so that disciples will be nourished and empowered to fulfill their God-ordained purpose. As members of the church, our desire is to bring glory to God through our public and private lives. We do this by rejoicing in Christ Jesus; increasing in the knowledge of God through the study and application of the scriptures; by growing in Godly character; by practicing Biblical fellowship; by serving one another with our spiritual gifts, our time, and our money; by proclaiming the Gospel in Norfolk, Virginia and to the ends of the earth.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH

 

Children are the hope of our future, so we aim to give them a solid foundation of Bible understanding. In order to facilitate this, we provide a children’s church ministry during the Sunday morning service that helps them to learn in a context and style suitable for them. This includes music, games, and object lessons. An atmosphere that encourages the younger generation to love God, His Word, and His people while showing practical ways to incorporate each lesson into their everyday lives.

Enrique and Emily Pizarro is our Children’s church leader. Children's Church takes place concurrently with our Sunday morning service (10:30 AM).

SUNDAY SCHOOL

  • Sundays at 9:30 AM. Sunday school classes are available for all ages.

 

Ministry Mission: To help children worship God in an age-appropriate, fun, and exciting way; to build their worship foundation, and most importantly, to cultivate a relationship with Jesus Christ. 

 

Each Sunday, there is a specific focus of study. Scripture is taught through object lessons, crafts, fun songs, and interesting and exciting stories. This is where you want your children to be. We offer a safe, quality children’s ministry for the kids. We go beyond fun as we teach strong biblical principles and communicate values that when acted upon will develop strong character in your children.

 

We invite you and your children to come and enjoy the Bible and its lifelong principles brought to life through our Children’s Ministry.

SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDIES

Our small group Bible studies are for each and everyONE.

​

We understand that in a large church it is easy to feel like ONE person lost in a crowd. SMBS will help you connect with fellow believers, learn the Word of God, and grow in your relationship with Christ in a small group setting.

​

The mission of these groups is rooted in the Word of God in Acts 2:46, where we read about believers who came together to fellowship and grow in their relationships with Christ. Our small group Bible studies are located in the homes of fellow believers all over the city of Norfolk.

SPANISH TRANSLATION​
​

The Spanish Translation Ministry is an outreach of Potter's House Norfolk into the Spanish-speaking community. We translate all our services. If you know of someone who may benefit or be in need of this service or a good bible teaching church, please encourage them to attend this service and share with them the blessings that come from studying God’s word.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

 

In addition to our weekly services, we focus on personal evangelism throughout the city every Saturday morning. During the summer we have many outreach ministries that focus on preaching the Gospel in local parks, gathering places, and neighborhoods.
